West Ham vs Manchester United: Preview, Possible Lineups & Prediction
West Ham face a tough one at London Stadium on Tuesday, Feb 10th 2026 as they take on Manchester United. Kick off is at 8:15 PM GMT (9:15 PM WAT) – and the pressure’s on the Hammers to keep their top flight status. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have shown great resilience recently – four wins in their last five games across all competitions – and they’re desperate to push away from the relegation zone.
With their new signings and a strong home record in recent times, West Ham are starting to find their footing with Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville causing problems for their opponents.
Match Summary
At the moment West Ham are sitting 18th in the table, just three points from safety after a pretty decent turnaround – and you have to say, they’ve been pretty good at home of late with some cracking results. A 2-0 win over Burnley last weekend shows what they’re capable of, and they’ve held on to new signings to add depth to their squad. They even managed to hold United to a 1-1 draw back in December 2025 when they last met.
Despite all this, you still can’t ignore Manchester United’s current form – and the confidence they’ve been building since Michael Carrick took over in January 2026. Four straight league wins is pretty impressive and they’re having a great time at the moment with Bruno Fernandes and his strike partners, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, really starting to make an impact.
Head to head – United have had the upper hand of late, but West Ham’s form has been looking a lot better so it could be a right old battle.
Possible Lineups
West Ham:
- Starting 11: Hermansen – Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Disasi, Diouf – Soucek, Potts – Bowen, M. Fernandes, Summerville – Castellanos.
- Injuries/suspensions: Jean Clair Todibo out, Lukasz Fabianski out. We expect Nuno to go with the same old faces, but Jarrod Bowen might have a lot to prove having targeted United so many times in the past.
Manchester United:
- Starting 11: Lammens – Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw – Casemiro, Mainoo – Amad, Fernandes, Cunha – Mbeumo.
- Injuries: Mason Mount, Patrick Dorgu and Matthijs de Ligt out of the squad, but Michael Carrick’s not got any new worries after that win at Tottenham.
Prediction
Man U are in top form right now with Carrick at the helm and four wins on the bounce with a few clean sheets to boot. I reckon they’ll keep it going – Bruno Fernandes running the show with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus scoring the goals. West Ham will give it a good go at home, though, and Jarrod Bowen will definitely be looking to hit some counters or get in on some set pieces and get the Hammers on the board. It’s gonna be a tight game but I think United are just about edging it in what could be a real high-scorer.
Final score prediction: West Ham 1-2 Manchester United
